Activision Blizzard has offered up the financials for Q2 2009 and reports better than expected earnings. It’s hard to imagine the company not posting impressive earnings with the World of Warcraft game and its massive popularity around the world.

Q2 for the company ended June 30th and the firm reported GAAP revenues of $1,038 million with non-GAAP revenues of $801 million. The revenue outlook for the quarter was $1 billion. Diluted GAAP earnings per share were $0.15.

Over the quarter Activision was the number one third-party console and handheld game publisher with three of the top ten games. Activision Blizzard was the top Xbox 360 and PS2 publisher over the quarter. Specifics for World of Warcraft over the quarter were not mentioned.
