Twitter is one of the more popular social networks out there. In fact, Twitter is so popular that Facebook reportedly tried to buy it earlier this year. Twitter is out to make its site easier to use in order to attract more users.

Twitter is making its home page more inviting and will standardize how people retweet the messages of others. The update is currently in the planning stages and Twitter is asking devs to simplify the retweeting process.

Early specifications call for retweet links on all messages. Today retweets are manual and can result in mistakes. There are three different retweet timeline APIs in the works. One for retweets you made, one for retweets you are following, and one for your tweets retweeted by others.
