Advent has announced a new thin notebook that will be debuting soon called the Altro. The thin machine is aimed at users on a budget wanting a thin notebook.

The device is a mere 21mm thick and weighs 1.6Kg and sells for £600. That is about half the price of the uber thin MacBook Air. The Altro features a 13.3-inch screen, 3GB of Ram, 120GB HDD, a webcam, and a multi-touch track pad.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, HDMI out, and a multi function connector. A fingerprint reader is also integrated and the machine comes with Vista. The machine does qualify for a free Windows 7 upgrade when the OS debuts though.
