A new application is now available for the iPhone that allows push Gmail service feature on the iPhone. The app is called the GPush Application and it sells for 99 cents on the App Store. The app allows users to choose how they want to be notified of new mail via Gmail.

Options for GPush include making the iPhone vibrate and ring for new mail. Having the GPush icon show the number of unread messages is also an option. The app also provides previews of incoming messages that display the senders name and the subject of the message.

“The lack of push GMail on my iPhone is the one feature that made me want to switch back to my Blackberry,” said Eliran Sapir, Co-founder of Tiverias Apps. “With GPush, I can continue using my iPhone with no worries of when my next email will arrive.” Yoni Gontownik, Co-founder, said, “with all that is going on with Google, Apple and the FCC, we are pleasantly surprised GPush was accepted into the App store.”
