BT has announced that its massive hotspot network now totals 500,000 around the UK. The company isn't content with 500,000 though, it is shooting for a million hotspots.

BT offers the hotspots all around the UK via its Openzone network with hotspots in places like Hilton, Ramada Jarvis, and Thistle hotels. The hotspots are also offered in Starbucks and Caffe Nero.

The hotspot network also covers airports and terminals. “We’ve reached a significant milestone in making Wi-Fi available in places where people want to get online. As the UK’s largest broadband retailer, we’re happy to offer the biggest Wi-Fi network too. We’ll continue to expand from here."
