It's been quiet on the new video card front over the last few months and HIS has finally broken that silence with the introduction of a new ATI Radeon video card called the HIS HD 4890 iCooler x4. The video card sports 1GB of GDDR5 Memory.

The card has a special cooler to keep the high-performance card cool while playing your favorite games that HIS calls the iCooler x4. The card has a core clock of 850 MHz and the memory is clocked at 3.9Gbps. I have never seen a card that clocks memory that way, HIS offers no MHz speed for the memory on its website.

The special cooler uses dual slots to shed heat produced while gaming. The card exhausts heat outside the case as most cards do with a slot in the front of the card. The special cooler also has a rear slot that exhausts heat into the PC chassis as well. I hope the PC cooling system can handle the extra work.
