The advent of cheap touchscreen monitors has really made smartphone design a lot easier for manufacturers. Just slap a big ol' screen on an ultra-thin body and, boom, you're ready for retail. That's what it looks like Nokia did when they put together the new 5230 (via Boy Genius) and it worked out pretty well.

The 5230 has a 3.2” touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, aGPS, and 70 MB of internal memory. It has three different types of dual-band 3.6 Mbps UMTS/HSDPA and it comes in red, pink, blue, yellow, silver, and dark silver. The best thing about this new Nokia is the price tag; $213 US. That means when it hits in Q4 it should be free with a 2 year contract.
