Nintendo has announced that the new Metroid Prime Trilogy for Wii has now shipped. The single game disc includes Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: corruption. The first two games were originally released on the GameCube.

All of the games have been updated for play on the Wii with Wii motion based controls and are rendered in 16:9 widescreen format. Players can choose which game to play using a unified main menu.

The game can be has in a collector's edition metal case that also includes an art booklet with content from all three games. The standard version of the game will sell for $49.99.
