Gamers in the US are getting price cuts, but in the UK, the price of the Xbox 360 Arcade console has gone up. Why you ask? According to Microsoft, the reason is currency fluctuations.

The latest casualty of the troubled Pound is now the game console and according to Microsoft's Chris Lewis, the Pound being down is the reason behind the £30 price hike.

“We are making modest increases on the Xbox 360 Arcade console as you can see,” Lewis told MCV. “The reality now is partly to offset currency exchange rate fluctuations which have impacted us in local market conditions – particularly in the UK."
