Location aware apps and software on mobile phones are becoming very popular with users. These apps let mobile phone users take social networking from the virtual world to the real world allowing them to find friends and other locations near them.

T-Mobile users can now get the location aware application Where. The app is available through the T-Mobile web2go service. Using the app, you can get live local content like weather, news, and restaurant reviews.

You can also use the application to find the cheapest gas near you, movie times, and you can connect with other Where users with Where Wall. The app is available for the G1, Blackberry curve, Samsung Memoir, and the Samsung Bold for $2.99 monthly.
