Apple has been sending out official press invites to its September 9th iPod event. If you have seen all the leaked shots of the iPod cases with camera holes, you probably have a good idea of what will be shown at the event.

Scuttlebutt says that there will be a new lower price iPod touch and a new 64GB model for the high-end. The new ipods are expected to get the new camera with video recording capability from the new iPhone and the same processor from the iPhone.

Other things are unknown, but there will not likely be the announcement of the new Apple tablet, something that significant will get its own event. Many rumors point to a 2010 unveiling of the Apple tablet anyhow.
