The super lucky blokes of the BBC team filming for the Lost Land of the Volcano programme discovered a new rat species in the jungle of Papua New Guinea.
The rat is actually a big one, measuring 82cm in length. As you can see in the video on BBC News the new rat is not scared of humans and actually is kind of cute.
It is still surprising when one can still find new animals on our planet, especially big ones like this new rat.
