Rumors that the iPhone 3GS would be able to playback HD video appeared just recently. Today Gizmodo is reporting just hours before the Apple Event that the new Harman Kardon iPod Bridge III can playback HD video from compatible Apple iPod and iPhone devices.

I researched into it and the product description of the Bridge III which comes with the new Harman Kardon AVR 3600 Receiver says it can can playback 720p videos stored on compatible iPhones and iPods. Update: Apple did not announce HD Out for iPods on September 9th
