Earlier today we reported the announcement of Walmart's early Black Friday deals that the retailer will be offering this Saturday at 8am. Besides Sears and Kmart Walmart, is opening big sale events weeks before Black Friday.

Walmart has set the bar rather high with at least two very impressive deals in electronics this weekend. The Xbox 360 Arcade will be offered for $199 with a $100 Walmart gift card and Walmart offers an HP Notebook with Windows 7 Home Premium at a netbook price of only $298.
Below we take a closer look at all the announced early Walmart Black Friday electronics deals and find out if they are worth getting out of bed on Saturday. As of now it looks like these deals are only available in stores.

Walmart Electronics Deals for November 7th:

Xbox 360 Arcade with free $100 Walmart Gift Card
The Xbox 360 Arcade usually sells for $199. On Saturday you can get the low-end Xbox 360 basically for $99 as you get a $100 Walmart Gift card. There will be a minimum of 10 such bundles per store. Because Walmart specifies this, I assume this deal is not available online.
A $99 Xbox 360 Arcade is a very good deal even if it means you get down to this through a gift card bundle. The only question you have to answer is if the Xbox 360 Arcade is what you want.
The Arcade has no hard-drive and only 256MB of storage. If you want to download a lot of games and content this is a problem without a hard-drive.
You can of course use your $100 gift card to buy a hard-drive for the Arcade to solve the problem. Walmart offers the 60GB Xbox Live Bundle that contains a 60GB hard drive, 3 months of Xbox Live Gold Service, Xbox 360 Wired Headset, and Xbox 360 Ethernet Cable for $89.96 on Walmart.
This accessory would make out of the $99 Arcade a $188.96 Xbox 360 Pro ($249.99 List).
If you do not care much about downloading content and just want to play games from discs or watch Netflix this Walmart deal is for you.

$298 HP Notebook [Updated] In the press-release Walmart only said about this very low priced Windows 7 Notebook that it has 3GB RAM and a 160GB hard drive. In an ad that appeared on Yahoo! today (Engadget) the $298 Notebook is listed as HPG60-519WM with 250GB HDD and 15.6" screen. Has the HPG60-519WM got a 160GB or a 250GB HDD? Update: The full specifications of the HP G60-519WM are now available from Walmart.
Features of the HP 15.6" Pavilion G60-519WM Entertainment Laptop PC include Intel Celeron Processor 900 at 2.2GHz, 3GB DDR2 RAM, 250GB SATA HDD at 7200rpm, 15.6-inch BrightView display with 1,366x768px resolution, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M (shared) with up to 1309MB of total available graphics memory, LightScribe SuperMulti DVD optical drive with double-layer support, Wifi, mode, and 6-cell battery.

The specifications of this notebook are not awesome, but for $298 they are not bad either. Intel Celeron 900 notebooks are not very common. New bargain Windows 7 netbooks sell for $300 right now.
I could imagine buying this low-priced Windows 7 notebook as the first notebook for a young kid or if you just needing a computer for a bit of surfing and emailing that is not being carried around.

42-inch Sharp 1080p HDTV for $498
46-inch Sharp 1080p 120Hz HDTV for $698 [Updated]
52-inch Sharp 1080p 120Hz HDTV for $898 [Updated]

As long as we do not know the specific models of these TVs we cannot compare them.
Update: The 120Hz Sharp LCD HDTV models on sale are now known. Read all about Sharp LC-52SB57UN And Sharp LC46SB57UN in our new deal analysis.
The 42-inch Sharp TV model appeared on the Yahoo! Walmart ad. The Sharp LC42SB45UT will be on sale for $498. Walmart has listed the LC42SB45UT on their site with all the specifications. The LC42SB45UT has 60Hz, Built-in digital ATSC and analog NTSC tuner, 8,000:1 contrast ratio and 3 HDMI inputs. The Sharp is not widely available. The prices I found are around $750, which means the $498 price is great for this TV. I would be looking to find a newer and more feature rich TV and spend maybe $100 or $200 more.
We will update this item when the model numbers for the two 120Hz Sharp HDTVs becomes available.

Panasonic 46-inch 1080p plasma HDTV for $788
Again the model number already appeared on the Yahoo! Walmart ad. The deal is on the Panasonic TC-P46U1. This Panasonic Plasma is listed on Amazon for $1,099.
The specifications for this Plasma include full HD, 30,000:1 contrast ratio, 600Hz sub-field drive, 3 HDMI inputs. I like Plasma TVs and my Panasonic Plasma is still working great after 4 years on my wall. The price of $788 is not bad considering it is over $1,000 on Amazon.

$148 Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray player
The Sony BDP-S360 sells for $151.93 on Amazon.com with free shipping. Walmart only is $4 cheaper.
The Sony BDP-S360 is offering BD-Live, Dolby TrueHD and dts HD- 7.1 Analog, X.v. color output, and quick start mode (6s). If you do not need Netflix movie streaming this Sony Blu-ray player is a solid choice, but you can buy it anytime somewhere else for the same price.

$29 Magnavox DP170MGXF Upconvert DVD player
Upconverting DVD players are available from many brands. $29 is a low price for such a device, but you can get a Sony or Toshiba upscaling DVD player for about $50. It is hard to say how well the Magnavox DP170MGXF is working.

The Walmart Deals for November 7th are a great start into the Holiday shopping season on Walmart. I am excited to see what Walmart will be offering over the next few weeks and of course how they top these deals on Black Friday.

Update: The new early Walmart Black Friday deals for November 14th are here.
