Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Sold At Least 4.7m Copies In First 24 Hours

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game was released last Tuesday. The publisher, Activision, announced today that the game set a new entertainment sales record with approximately $310 Million in North America and United Kingdom Alone.
According to internal Activision estimates, 4.7 million copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 were sold in the U.S. and UK alone. The game launched in other countries as well so the overall number is surely beyond 5 million.
