Alright, so this announcement sounds a little lame compared to LG's seventeen freaking awards. JVC just gets one award this year, but it's for something cool; the DLA-HD990 home theater projector. If you have a giant chunk of disposable income and a big living room, you too might be a good candidate for the joys of projector ownership.

The D-ILA family of projectors offer full HD presentation, 3 D-ILA devices, 2x motorized zoom, and a 30,000:1 native contrast ratio. They start at $4999.95 and go up to $9999.95, for the DLA-HD990 JVC was awarded for. Buying a projector isn't cheap, but it does go a long way towards giving you the coolest home theater set-up on the block. (You'll also need to spend thousands of dollars on audio equipment and comfy couches.)
