Orange has announced that it has teamed up with Twitter to allow users to post Tweets using MMS for the first time ever. Orange subscribers will be able to update Twitter via MMS and receive Tweets via text messages as well.

Both Vodafone and 02 offer Twitter service with update via text messaging. Twitter updates will end up in Orange World for users to access as they want. The code to send messages to Twitter is 86444.

You apparently have to set the service up in Orange World. “Twitter does not charge for this service,” he noted. “It's just like sending and receiving messages with your friends — your carrier's standard messaging rates apply.”
