Microsoft is getting into the holiday spirit already and has announced that they will give Xbox Live silver members a little taste of the Gold life. For a week, Silver members will be able to play using the gold service.

The free week starts on November 25th and will last until the 30th. The free service will provide users with access to all the multiple player modes and downloads that full gold members get.

Obviously, Microsoft isn’t giving freely, they hope that silver members will see the extra stuff available to gold members and stay after the free week is over. With the slight cost gap between silver and gold services, I bet many will stay.
