The Barnes & Noble Nook eReader may have a bit of a cloud hanging over it with the suit pending from Alex Design, but the device is still stoking the fires of geek lust in many tech fans. Barnes & Noble has said that demand for the device has been so strong that it will not have any in stores until December 7th according to the WSJ.

I am sure that the number of the devices offered in stores will be very limited as well. The device will only make it to "high volume" stores. I would assume these to be stores in large cities so smaller towns with a retail store will be out of luck.

The Nook is out of stock already for the holidays and orders placed now will not ship until 2010. The fact that the Nook is out of stock is making this Christmas a banner holiday season for the Amazon Kindle. Only nooks ordered before November 20th will be received in time for the holiday season.
