It looks like we've got a shot and some specs for the new Pine Trail Asus Eee PC 1008P. According to Netbooked this device is actually a "designer" edition built by Karim Rashid. This ultraportable has a chiclet keyboard, removable battery, Pine View Atom N450 processor (1.8 GHz), 1 GB of RAM, 160 GB HD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a 1.3 MP webcam, and a 10.1" display.

This sweet little netbook will come loaded with Windows 7 starter edition. It'll be out in February of 2010 and will come in Hot Pink or Gold Brown. No word on price is out yet, but we can probably expect something in the $300-$400 range.

The old Atom N270 was getting to be very old indeed. These first few Pine Trail machines are a real breath of fresh air. Up to 1.8 GHz with SHE gives us a lot more power to play with, something sorely needed on just about all netbooks.
