Going green is a big deal and not only helps the environment, but it can save companies money on power as well. NEC has unveiled a new LCD called the EA222WMe that is built with several green features to make it more energy efficient.

The LCD has the same brightness as other panels but needs 20% less power. NEC also claims that the screen consumed 52% less power than past generation NEC monitors and radiated up to 61% less heat.

The screen is 22-inches wide and has a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and a contrast ratio that is dynamic up to 30,000:1. Brightness for the monitor is 250 cd/m2 and it has a four way ergonomic stand. Connectivity includes VGA, DVI, USB, and DisplayPort.
