The Nintendo 3DS announcement almost made me forget that the new Nintendo DSi XL is being released on Sunday, March 28th.
The screens on the Nintendo DSi XL are 93% larger than those of the Nintendo DS Lite model.
The screens of the Nintendo DSi XL also feature a wider viewing angle, letting friends and family members join the fun. The new system launches in both Burgundy and Bronze colors, and comes loaded with pre-installed premium software Brain Age Express: Arts & Letters, Brain Age Express: Math and Photo Clock, as well as two free applications: the Nintendo DSi Browser and Flipnote Studio.
You can still pre-order the Nintendo DSi XL on Amazon for $189.99, but there is a quantity limit of both one per household and one per customer.
The purchase limit indicates that the DSi XL is in high demand, but it is only on the 22nd position (DSi XL bronze) in the overall video game sales chart on Amazon. This tells me that Amazon has a limited supply of the DSi XL.
Walmart doesn't seem to have a purchase limit and even throws in a free carrying case with the Nintendo DSi XL.
