Many high-end digital cameras are available that use CompactFlash cards for storing images. These cards have much faster write speeds for people who take lots of high-resolution images, but the downside is that the cards cost much more than the SD cards other digital cameras use.

SuperTalent has announced a new and speedy CFast CompactFlash card with a data transfer rate four times faster than the fastest Super Talent High speed 600x CF card. The CFast card has a maximum transfer rate of 375MB/s whereas the 600x cards have a transfer rate of 90MB/sec.

The card uses the SATA interface to break the speed bottleneck between the SSD and the computer. The card is a CF standard Type I card and has an operating shock rating of 2000Gs. Pricing is unknown at this time.
