Solid state drive technology takes another step forward with the Micron RealSSD C300 (via Electronista), a solid state drive with a native SATA 6GBps interface that, according to Micron, is the first in the industry. The RealSSD C300 will be out for sale early next year, in 1.8" and 2.5" models and 128 GB and 256 GB capacities. The RealSSD uses multi-level flash memory that supports the ONFI 2.1 standard. It brags a read speed of 355 MBps and write speeds of 214 MBps. This is a big step forward for SSD technology, which is finally starting to actually deliver the sort of speed and performance we've all been waiting for.
