If that M-Edge jacket with the New Yorker cover on it was too ornate for your tastes, but you still want a cover for your Kindle or even the Nook if you were lucky enough to order early, Periscope has a case for you. The case is called the Periscope Lighted Folio.

The Folio now fits not only the kindle, but the Book with a light attached to the cover that stows away to let you read in the dark. Neither the Kindle nor Nook feature a backlight. Inside the folio is also a place for a pen and a notepad in case you want to take notes.

The LED light is powered by a pair of AA batteries and a mini travel adapter is an option. The Folio sells for $49.95 and is a better deal than the M-Edge device that lacks a light for the same price.
