We heard our first snippets of Motus rumors last month. They painted a picture of a low-end, 528 MHz processor smartphone with the MotoBlur UI and an ultimate destination of AT&T's network. Now, though, new rumors (via Engadget) are changing our picture of this smartphone. First off, it packs a 5 MP camera with an LED flash set up on the keyboard. A high-quality front facing webcam moves this smartphone up from "boring budget device" to "awesome". There are also rumors that the processor is, in fact, a 1 GHz Snapdragon, which would only serve to make things more awesome. The Motus is not likely to launch until April or May, 2010. To me, that is evidence in favor of the 1 GHz processor. By May of next year the 528 MHz Cliq processor the Motus was previously rumored to pack will seem painfully outdated. Time (and some less grainy screenshots, maybe?) will tell us more.
