Etymotic Research, the original inventor of noise-isolating, high-fidelity in-ear earphones, has announced its second-generation Bluetooth wireless headset. The upgraded version of the popular etyBLU headset contains etyBLU’s highly-directional, noise-canceling microphone in a fixed-boom configuration, a design change that allows optimal antenna placement for improved range between headset and mobile phone.

Power users on mobile phones over 3000 minutes a month rely on clear, often private communication. The need for repetition or increased vocal effort on either end of the conversation can be damaging to business. etyBLU2’s noisecanceling microphone picks up the talker’s voice within a narrow range and rejects background noise that comes from outside that range. The combination of an in-ear noise-isolating earphone that blocks out 98% of background noise and a directional microphone placed close to the mouth results in exceptional sound quality and clear communication at both ends of the conversation.

The Etymotic hf3 headset with 3-button remote control is a Made-for-iPod/Works with iPhone version of the hf2 headset.
The hf3 is designed to work with iPhone and all current iPod models. The main difference between the hf2 and hf3 is the added user benefit of volume control. The 3-button remote control of the hf3 headset makes it easier than ever for a user to pause, adjust and navigate through music tracks on a playlist while exercising, commuting or engaged in other activities. Users can make clear phone calls with the integrated high-sensitivity microphone and adjust volume on the run (sometimes literally) if music selections are not all recorded at the same level.
