If you own a fancy iPhone/iPod speaker dock, there's a good chance it comes from iHome. They make good products and they have a sense of innovation that too many peripheral makers lack entirely. This week will see the launch of a new product line from iHome. They've created the first ever 'app-enhanced' line of iPhone/iPod touch speakers. Both of the new models in this range, the iA5 and iA1000, will be shown off at CES 2010. The iA5 is an alarm clock speaker system for the iPhone and iPod. It uses the free downloadable app iHome+Sleep to enhance the performance of the dock. I'm not sure exactly how, but iHome describes it as turning your nightstand into a "personal information hub". The iA100 is a Bluetooth alarm clock with an FM radio, it allows users to answer and place calls via speakerphone, or wirelessly stream music to the speakers.
