Acer Unveils Aspire AS7740 Notebook

Acer has unveiled a new notebook at CES called the Aspire 7740. The machine is a large notebook with a 17.3-inch screen that can be powered by either Intel Core i3-330 or Core i5-430M CPUs. The notebook can also be fitted with ATI discrete graphics form one of two GPU models.

Available graphics options include the Radeon HD 5650 Mobility or the Radeon Mobility HD 5470. The HD 5650 support HD video form Blu-ray drives and more. The screen is a TFT LED backlit display with a 16:9 aspect ratio that supports 1080p resolution.

The sound system is Dolby optimized and the machine has HDMI out and support TV from a single cable, Other features include four USB ports and 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WiFi. Pricing will start at $749.99 and the machine will ship on January 17.
