Sony Shows Off Vaio Y Notebook

Sony has announced the Vaio Y series notebook at CES with a very thin profile of only 1.2-inches and weighing in at only 4.2 pounds. The machine has a magnesium case and promises battery life of up to 7 hours.

The machine has uses Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor and has up to 8GB of RAM. The screen of the notebook is 13.3-inches and it is LED backlit for power savings. The machine also has HDMI output for sending video to your big screen.

Other features include stereo Bluetooth and a keyboard designed for easier typing. The machine is available now for pre-sale and will start at a MSRP of $800.
