Texas Instruments is into all sorts of product types from microprocessors and other hardware to fancy graphic calculators and more. The company has announced a new tool for education in the classroom called the TI-Nspire Navigator wireless classroom networking system.

The system includes the Ti-Nspire and the TI-Nspire CAS handhelds. The system allows the teacher to do things like quick polls of students and screen captures to see where a student is in the work. The system is designed to help students learn math.

The handhelds look like some of the fancy TI graphing calculators. The system has been in use around the country by about 3,000 students and sounds pretty cool. If you had a question when I was in high school you had to wait for the teacher to come around to your desk.
