One of the nicest parts of living in a capitalist society is watching gigantic corporations fight tooth and nail for your business. Fresh on the heels of Verizon's new service plan announcement, AT&T has decided to do some price-slashing of their own. AppleInsider reports that, starting Monday, iPhone customers will be able to sign up for an unlimited voice and data plan that costs $99.99/month.

This represents a $30 drop in plan pricing. Customers with Family Talk plans (and 2+ smartphones) can now sign up for an unlimited voice and data plan for $179.99. More new plans for non-smartphone customers are also available, including unlimited talk for $69.99 and unlimited Family Talk for $119.99.

When companies compete like this, the real winners are customers like you and I. The cost of owning an iPhone just dropped $360/year. That's bound to entice some more users to sign up with AT&T, especially after the new iPhone launches this Summer.
