As earlier reported, Ion 2 is on its way. Digitimes has just reported that Asus is planning to launch a 20" all-in-one PC based on the Ion 2 platform. This PC is the Eee Top ET2010PNT we heard about last week. It will use an Intel Atom D510 dual-core processor and an Nvidia GeForce G310 graphics chip, based on Nvidia's 40nm DirectX 10.1-ready GeForce 210 GPU.

Asus isn't the only manufacturer moving to put out an Ion 2-based PC. Zotac plans to launch their MAG HD-ND01 soon as well. This MAG will sport a D410 or 510 processor along with an Nvidia GeForce 210 graphics chip. It will launch in March and MSRP for $249. Not bad for a 1080p capable entertainment hub.

Digitimes also notes that Broadcom has just started to put out their new Crystal HD video decoding chips. These chips are built for the Pine Trail platform and allow the display of 1080p video. Since Crystal HD is cheaper than Ion 2, we're likely to see it show up in quite a few lower-end netbooks and MIDs.
