One of the best original programs that HBO had in a long time was Rome. I really liked that show and found the fight scenes particularly interesting. I have been waiting since I first saw the new Stars program Spartacus: Blood and Sand teaser last year for the show to hit Stars.

It looks like a cross between Rome and 300. The show is set to debut later this month and along with the new program is a new video game for the iPhone and iPod touch to go along with it. The game is called Spartacus: Blood and Sand and is a 3d fighting game that puts players into gladiatorial combat in the arena.

The game has Story Mode, Quick Fight, Challenge Mode, and Head-to-Head Mode. players can play head-to-head using Bluetooth connectivity and the game has unlockable characters. The game has numerous attack and defense modes and is available now for $4.99.
