Lenovo has announced new software available to be bundled with its professional workstations that improves the graphics performance of the workstations. The software is available with the Lenovo S20 and D20 Intel Xenon-based workstations.

The software is called Elemental Accelerator and works with the NVIDIA Quadro FX graphics line. The software improves performance in Adobe Creative Suite 4 and offers more GPU-accelerated power for the Adobe suite.

The elemental Accelerator software offers GPU acceleration for video formats including H.264/AVC for uploading or burning to a disc. The software also improves MPEG-2 encoding speed. Premiere Pro and After Effects sequences can also be accelerated.
