Asus decided to reward us all with some eye candy (via SlashGear) in the form of a photo of the DR-950 E-Reader in the...err...plastic and metal. This 9" touchscreen reader has a 1024 x 768 resolution and support for PDF, ePub, and HTML files (just for starters). It has 2-4 GB of onboard storage space and room for an SD slot.

This reader might also sport WiMAX. Asus hasn't officially decided on whether or not to cram it into that .35" deep body. The DR-950 is definitely a good-looking device, with a form factor that's light-years ahead of the Kindle DX. Now; let's see a photo of the OLED-packing DR-570. Come on Asus, throw us a bone here.
