If you're looking to build your own computer, you really ought to look into buying one of these Kingston 30 GB SSDs. They are designed to work as boot drives for your machine's OS. Load it, and any applications you want to be able to access ultra-fast, onto the boot drive and stick the rest of your data on a traditional HDD. The new V-series SSDNow drives even include Windows 7 TRIM support.

Kingston offers special mounting brackets and data/power cables for users looking to install two of these boot drives in a RAID configuration. Each drive MSRPs for $109.99 and they will start shipping in February of this year.
