I am sure the business users out there and those who think the iPad might make a cool netbook for school were thrilled to see iWork get version of the iPad. Those who have an iPhone may be hoping that since apps for the iPhone work on the iPad the iWork software will be heading to the iPhone too.

Apple reportedly has no plans to bring the iWork suite to the iPhone. The iWork apps are sold separately for the iPad on the iTunes store for $10 each. The clear goal is to get the business types to buy the iPad and replace those tiny netbooks they are using now.

Honestly, with the keyboard accessory it looks like the iPad would be every bit as useful as a netbook if you throw iWork on it. You would work on the onscreen keyboard in a pinch as well.
