With the iPad being unveiled earlier this week everyone is coming out with new screen tech to lure pother companies into the eReader and tablet markets today. Neonode has unveiled its new eBook touchscreen platform called zBook. The platform is a low cost touch screen interface reference design for eReaders. The device is based on the patented zForce touchscreen tech owned by Neonode.

The reference design is aimed at firms who sell and develop eReaders that need 100% transparent touch windows, finger and stylus input capability, and multi-touch functionality. Neonode claims the platform is very cost effective.

The zForce tech supports multi-finger touch input, gestures for zooming and others along with superior image quality. ZForce tech is already in use in mobile phones, MIDs and digital picture frames on the market today according to Neonode.
