This will certainly be the year of 3D content. There are lots of 3D TVs coming to market in the next few months and lots of different 3D content will be hitting the airwaves as well. 3D tech has been around for computers for a long time, but the technology is finally going mainstream with the push in the home theater market.

Acer has announced a new 3D-ready display for computer users called the GD235HZ that is ready to rock alongside the NVIDIA 3D Vision active glasses system for 3D content on a computer. The screen has the required 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen measures 23.6-inches and has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a 0.2715mm pixel pitch. The response time is 2ms and it has an 80,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 1000:1 native contrast ratio. Brightness for the screen is 300cd/m2 and it can display 16.7 million colors. Connectivity options include HDMI, DVI, and VGA. The screen will sell for $399.95 and will ship this month.
