Cardo Systems has announced the scala rider G4 Bluetooth intercom for motorcyclists. The system acts as a standalone intercom for connecting riders on the same bike or on different bikes to allow conversation while on the road.

The device has a wireless range of up to one mile, is compatible with Bluetooth mobile phones, and supports A2DP streaming music and GPS units. The intercoms will work with up to four riders, typical systems only support two riders.

Other features include an integrated FM radio, VOX activation, AGC technology, PLC technology, and spoken status announcements. The system fits most 3/4 and full face helmets and is available now for $279.95.
