You thought you drive a car of the future when you bought your Toyota Prius hybrid. Reports of Prius Owners over the last weeks talk about to weak braking power when driving on frozen or bumpy roads.

Brake issue reports are only coming from U.S. Prius owners. Apparently European Prius drivers have not experienced the problem.

The good news for Prius owners is that, according to a new report on Nikkei (subscription), Toyota will soon notify dealers on how to ensure the safety of the Prius. A fix for brand new Prius that got produced this month is already available.
