Samsung has unveiled a new smartphone that is bound for the UK called the Monte S5620. The device has a 3-inch touchscreen with QVGA resolution that supports touch. The device is focused on mobile social networking.

Facebook and MySpace apps ship on the device and Bebo and Twitter are featured as well. Multiple IM apps are supported and the version now uses TouchWiz UI, but that will be replaced by Bada later.

The handset supports 3G and has a 1000mAh battery, which is small. Battery life will probably be an issue here. An exact date and price for the UK launch hasn't been announced at this time.
