HTC is certainly coming on strong recently, especially in the Android handset market though the firm does still offer some WinMo devices too. The HTC Scorpion handset has some details that are surfacing that claim the device may have one of the most powerful processors ever crammed inside a smartphone.

The device is expected to run a processor from Qualcomm in the Snapdragon line that has dual cores and runs at 1.5GHz. We already know the single core Snapdragon is a good performer, it makes me excited to see how a dual-core version will run.

The processor is said to be an ARM cortex-based QSD8672 dual core Cortex A8 part built on a 45nm process. Other features are supposed to include WiMAX. There are some out there that claim the device is a fake, we will just have to wait and see if the Scorpion stings at MWC.
