We interrupt today's coverage of tablets and smartphones for...more coverage of tablets! The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t (via Netbooked) has shipped out to a few early adopters on the Lenovo forums. One of them posted his findings.

First off, the model with an 8-cell battery has extremely good battery life. He reported 7 hours on “Balanced” mode, and 9 hours in “Super Energy Saver” mode, with WiFi and Bluetooth on. The touchscreen had some issues registering touches. Apparently, turning off multitouch works to improve accuracy for certain tasks. The reviewer noted that the S10 runs silent and does not overheat.

Inside the S10-3t, he found 2x RAM slots and a half-sized mini PCI-e slot. There's an extra 2.5” SATA for storage and a working SIM slot. Altogether, this IdeaPad seems like a solid product, if you want a tablet that runs a desktop OS. It doesn't look like the most portable thing ever made, but you can't argue with battery life like that.
