Data security and backups are a huge deal in the business world. Most companies are simply out of business if they lose their data. Backing up and securing data in the business world can be done in many ways, one of them is with network attached storage or NAS servers.

Thecus has announced its latest NAS server called the 1U4600. The device is a 1U rack mount NAS server that features iSCSI and Dual DOM. The server uses an Intel Celeron processor to handle access by multiple clients at once and to deliver better data throughput.

The device also has integrated cloud networking to allow for admin management of multiple NAS units through one master system. The device can be used as a NAS, DAS, or iSCSI devices for flexibility in installation. The machine supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10 and JBOD.
