High-fashion powerhouse Dolce & Gabana announced today that it will stream the upcoming Fall and Winter fashion shows for 2010 and 2011, respectively, to iPhone and Android devices.

Beginning at 9 AM (Eastern Time) on February 25th and 7 AM (Eastern Time) on February 28th, users with a G1, Droid, Nexus One, or any Android device, as well as iPhone owners, can point their mobile browser to D&G's new "Live Mobile" website to view the new fashion lines as they are being presented in Europe.

D&G launched a mobile site in 2008, and have since lunched a free app for the iPhone (D&G Fasion Channel).

Live mobile streaming has largely remained up to the cellular provider, to create and maintain proprietary video codecs. This move by D&G becomes one of the first where a smaller third-party provider has created a specialized streaming service for mobile phones.
