In America today the availability of WiMax networks is very limited. There are a handful of large cities around the country that have access to 4G WiMax and more are coming online this year and next year. The WiMax networks offer much faster data speeds than 3G networks offer.

At MWC C-motech unveiled its latest USB modem for the Sprint 4G WiMax network called ht eU-301. The modem supports 3G connectivity on the CDMA networks in place all around the country and supports 4G WiMax speeds in areas lucky enough to have the faster network.

The U-301 has a maximum download speed of 10Mbps and a max upload speed of 4Mbps for WiMax networks. On 3G CDMA networks the modem supports 3.1Mbps download and 1.8Mbps upload. The modem works on Windows 7, Vista, and XP machines.
