Tablets may be all the rage right now, but that doesn't mean things stop in other areas of the industry. 3G Netbooks (last year's 'big thing') are still rolling out from new OEMs and with new hardware. Itechnews reports that the LG X140 will be adding on to that category at some point in the near future. This netbook packs an Atom N450 Pine Trail processor, 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB HDD, integrated GMA 3150 graphics, a 10.1” LCD display, WiFi, and 3G.

No information is out yet on pricing or availability. The design looks pretty slick, from the photo we have right now. If this thing gets hooked up with a good carrier (Verizon, mayhaps?) and subsidized down to a reasonable price, I could see dropping some scratch on this instead of spending twice as much on a tablet.
