Baidu B618: A Dual-Core PMP?

Here's an odd rumor from somewhere in China. Baidu Digital, makers of various PMPs, have just announced the B618. Aside from being capable of 720p video and 720p out, Cloned in China reports that the B618 is also a dual-core machine.

If true, this is a very strange decision on Baidu's part. We don't know much else about this device, but none of the specs so far suggest that this is designed to act as anything beyond a PMP. Why the extra dollop of horsepower? And, most importantly, what sort of battery life can you get with a processor like that in a body that small?
